Unrealized Potential

The primary purpose for going to this graveyard in Wakefield, Quebec was to see the grave of Lester B. Pearson - a former Canadian Prime Minister and world statesmen. He was a pioneer in many things including the first race-free immigration system, student loan programs, the Canada Pension Plan, and even the modern Canadian flag. He was also a winner of the Nobel Peace Prize ..... pretty accomplished by any measure.
So - I went and saw the grave. And then I wandered.....and I found this grave pictured here.
This little boy - whose name I can't make out - died at the young age of 3 years 14 days. When viewed against the life of Mr. Pearson - it seemed so unfair. It makes one wonder what this youngster would have accomplished if only given the opportunity......
