Ice carving is something that one should see up close at least once. The skill involved in making some of these sculptures is incredible. It's amazing to see someone turn something I think of as no more than vodka-cooler into a bona-fide work of art.... I'll put one up tommorrow. For now - the artist..... (in the meantime - check out Ali-G's site for some 'cool' examples)

Wonderful. the snow festival has just kicked off in Hokkaido I think today. It's nice to get to see the artist behind the art. Love how you've captured his dilligence and focus here. great job.

The artist must have known that someone would take his picture...such a beautiful bright red! Thank you for capturing these wonderful winter scenes.
