I'm not a Catholic. I'm not a Christian either. As a matter of fact - I suppose I've slipped through the cracks and eventually become one of the "lost." I was born into an eastern faith which I scramble to try to understand - when the mood strikes me..... And attempt to justify it to others - when the media accentuates its "difficulties." I'm not comfortable - at all actually -with what is pictured above...... for all it represents and all it doesn't. But I suppose it is what I know the most - just by default, if you will. I attended mass on Christmas eve. Not out of an obligation to a higher power - but rather, as an obligation to a family.
And this - this is what I saw......

Even though you're not a Christian, it's a very expressive shot. The church and the cross are in the light, whereas the clouds around are rather dark and threatning. I love the colors and the mood.

:-) You're not lost if you know where you are. Very powerful photo, and a good way to convey your unease at this power... I understand where you're coming from. By the way, I think you could switch the first two sentences around: All Catholics are Christian, but not all Christians are Catholic...

Beautiful shot. Personally, I'd agree with Damon and call you "found", not lost. I would highly recommend Richard Dawkins' new book The God Delusion if you seek reasons for your non-belief.

The artistic eye can find images wherever we are! And this image brings to my mind the contrast between what is meant and what is actually found. Lovely. BTW I think Richard Dawkins' books are great no matter what the topic! but this one is excellent!
