First of all - let me apologize for the small size of this picture. It's a scanned print that I took in 1995 while I lived in Kyoto, Japan. I noticed that there seemed to be a lot of 'bloggers on Aminus3 who currently live in or have lived in Japan - and I wanted to join the club ;) Too bad we couldn't all head out for Ramen and Biru and hold the first ever "Aminus3 Bloggers who currently or have lived in Japan and like to take photos" evening.....! Anyway - I digress. These feet belong to a group of men who were involved in pulling one of the large, old, wooden HOKO (floats) in a parade that forms the central event of the Gion Matsuri. One of my most favourite festivals, by far! (well - Kurama's Hi-Matsuri is waaaay up there too!). Anyway - that's my contribution :)

welcome to the 'aminus bloggers who live/have lived in Japan club' AJ! Ill manufacture members badges and get one sent off to you forthwith. Lovely detail of the matsuri. Kuramas festival is splendid also ne? Do you have any shots of that? If so please post as it's a spectacular festival.

Two shots in a row with great repetition and horizontal lines! This would make a great series.
