My Street in Winter

I hail from warmer climes. I moved to Ottawa in January 2005 from Vancouver and THIS is what I encountered. I've seen more snow in the past two years than I'd seen in my lifetime prior to that. I suppose this is one of those things that's supposed to build character..... I think my character was just fine thanks very much!!! ;)

Why did I post this today? Well - I figured that seeing as it's the first day of November - chances are we'll be seeing it soon.

Anyone wanna buy me a plane ticket outta here?!?!

Ahhhh. You may have had enough, but it looks fabulous to me! I can count the number of times I have seen snow on my hands and it certainly wasn't that thick or beautiful.
* One of those few times was in Vancouver Xmas '95 believe it or not!

Living in Colorado I see lots of snow, and I love it, every single flake of it. But then, I’m a backcountry skier. Love the frosted trees, and the B/W gives the image age, like great memories from a childhood. Very nice.

@Helen & Jamie Ann - I think your comments have actually made me revise my thoughts on the matter - I have to agree - snow is quite beautiful to look at - and there's nothing better than going outside on a snowy night when the flakes are falling down and everything is actually quiet - even in the city.
I think my objections are to the cold ... the minus 20 and lower degree weather (celsius) is hard to take at times. Guess I'll just have to put up with it ;) And, thanks for the comments .....

When I took a closer look I thought that it was taken nowadays... As I really looking forward to snow and skiing... I can't live without snow and winter.... Is it really B/W? It doesn't seem to be clear to me...
