Those horses that I took a couple of days ago - this is the whole pack ..... We were driving down the highway from Saskatoon to Regina during July and saw these horses at the side of the road. We had to stop. I'm not much of an animal person - but these guys were so huge and quite majestic - i had no choice but to be impressed. Anyway - they all came over from the centre of the field to see what we wanted. Checking out the city slickers :) As we were leaving, they graciously lined up for a portrait shot.... and so *snap*
look closely between the legs - there's a little one! I think he was a donkey or something like that - he certainly wasn't a baby - and he had exactly the same markings as the big one. Is there such thing as runts in the horse world? anyone?

Brilliant shot. The outlines of the horses' backs are like waves.
